Locations

The Locations screen allows you to drill into specific locations to view all products in that location. Once in a location you may cycle count the products in the specific location and/or access the Location Detail screen. For more information on Location Detail, click here.

Note if you cycle count by location any products in the location that are not in the most recent cycle count queue will be added.

To select a specific location, you can scan the location bar code, search for a location using the search bar, or slide your finger up or down to scroll through all available locations. Once selected, all products in that location will be displayed.

You may slide your finger up or down to see all the products in the location. To access location detail for a specific product, press on the desired product.

To search for a product, tap in the search field at the top of the screen and enter the product description, a portion of the product description, or the internal Eclipse ID (preceded with a "."). As you enter text the search will start to narrow the list of products. To access location detail for a specific product, press on the desired product.

To count all the products in a specific location, press the "Count" button at the bottom-right of the screen. All products in that location will be queued for counting and the cycle count screen will display with the first product to be counted.

Press on the sort button at the bottom-left to access the Product Sort screen.

In the Product Sort screen, you are given the option of sorting by Quantity, Description, or Rank and then selecting whether you would like to sort them in Ascending or Descending order.

Pressing Save, in the bottom left corner, after making any changes to the sort order will save your sort options as the default sort order on this device. If you don't want to permanently save the sort order press Apply, in the upper right corner, which will apply the sort order but not make it the default so the next time you come into the location screen it will default back to the previously saved sort order.

The cycle count screen will display the total number of products to be counted in that location in the lower-right part of screen. As products are counted, the total number of counts will update. For more information on the cycle count process, click here.

If you scan a product that is physically in the location but is not entered in Eclipse a message will appear, "No matching counts, add it?" Press Ok to add the product to the cycle count and then you will be able to count the product in that location.

To change the order items are displayed, press the Count Queue icon (the clipboard) on the bottom-right, then press the Refine button located at the bottom-right.

When you are finished counting all of the products physically located in that location and the total number of counts on the cycle count screen does not show zero, the remaining products will need to have their on-hand set to zero (as they are physically not in that location). This can be done from the Count Queue screen. Press the thumbs down button on the bottom-left and a message will appear, "Missing Products. Are you sure you want to count zero for all of these products?" with options to Cancel or Continue. Press Continue to set the on-hand quantity of the product in that location to zero. To abort, press Cancel.
