How to Update the Portal when a contact's WOE Login ID or Entity is changed in Eclipse

When you invite a contact to use either OE Touch or StockRoom, their Portal user is tied to the WOE Login ID and Entity at the time of the invite. If the WOE Login ID or Entity are changed in Eclipse, the change must also be made in the portal otherwise the link is broken, and they will no longer be able to use the app.

The following example illustrates how to update a contact's WOE Login ID and Entity in the Portal when they are changed in Eclipse.

First you must find the contact in the portal by going to Manage --> Users and searching for their user. Click on their name to load the user detail page.

In the screenshot above, this contact's WOE Login ID (erp) is testinnovo and their entity is .42201. After they were invited, the WOE Login ID was changed to innovotesting and the Entity was changed to .42202.

To update the WOE Login ID and Entity in the portal, click on the middle button (edit) above the user's information.

  • To change their WOE Login ID, update the ERP User field to be exactly as it appears in Eclipse. Note: it is case sensitive.
  • To change the Entity, update the Customer field with the new Entity number. Note: Do not include the dot when updating the Customer field.

Press the Save button at the bottom right to save any changes.

After saving, you are returned to the user's screen. A green message will appear at the top indicating the user profile has been updated.
