Ship Branch Overrides in OE Touch
Ship Branch Overrides gives your customers the ability to choose the ship branch when placing an order. Whether this option is available during the checkout process depends on the Ship Via the customer selects and their branch access. Generally, this would be for Will Call or Pick Up orders.
To set this up, you must first define the Ship Vias that will allow a ship branch override in the app. This is done in the control file, WOE Ship Branch Override. There is an option at the top of the control file to Enable Ship Branch Override in WOE, which will enable the Ship Vias specified in the Overridable Ship Vias area below to apply to all customers. If you only want them to apply to specific customers, set this to N and you can use Customer and Contact level settings to enable ship branch overrides on a case-by-case basis.
Once you have set the Ship Vias in the control file, you can then use the Enable Ship Branch Override setting at both the Customer and Contact levels to turn on (or off if you set the control file to Y) this feature for specific customers and contacts. At the customer level, this setting is found in the B2B/WOE Remote Order Entry Parameters screen in Customer Maintenance (Alt-M, then Alt-W from Customer Maintenance in Eterm). At the contact level, this setting is found in the Contact WOE Parameters screen in Contact Maintenance (Alt-O from Contact Maintenance).
After you have set the control file and enabled the override for your customers or contacts, the ship branch override will appear in OE Touch on the Shipping & Information screen during the Checkout process. In the example below, the Ship Via "Pick Up Mobile" is set in the Control File and the customer logged into the App has the Enable Ship Branch Override setting set to Y for their Contact. Once the customer selects the Ship Via of Pick Up Mobile, the Ship Branch field appears below. Tapping on the branch shown allows the user to select from any of their other authorized branches.
We also have a control file, Innovo OE Touch Add Branch Number in Ship Branch Overrides, which allows you to add the branch number to the displayed branch information on the Shipping & Information Screen when ship branch overrides are in place. The default is N.
Here is the hierarchy in which these settings are checked and applied:
Contact setting blank - will look to the customer
Y - will always enable ship branch override if there are Ship Vias in the control file (stops here - does not look at the customer)
N - will never enable ship branch override (stops here - does not look at the customer)
Customer setting blank - will look to the control file setting
Y - will always enable ship branch override if there are Ship Vias in the control file (stops here - does not look at the control file)
N - will never enable ship branch override (stops here - does not look at the control file)
