To make the most out of your OE Touch app, please review the following Innovo control files. Some control files are required while others are highly recommended. The rest are usually fine if left with the default setting. A number of these can be overridden at the customer, contact, and user level.
Required Control files are indicated in a red box with an exclamation mark.
Recommended Control files are indicated in a yellow box with an exclamation mark.
Best Practices are shown for each control file setting in a green box with a light bulb icon.
Innovo A/R Inquiry Custom Message
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this Control File
By default, in both customer and Employee modes, the A/R inquiry credit control message will display in the Account Inquiry page. If you want to override this message in customer mode, set the prompt to Y and type in the message you want to display. If you don't want to display any message, set the prompt to Y and don't type in any message. Note: This is an Eterm only control file.
*Applies to Customer Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Y and enter a custom message to ensure the message is appropriate for customer consumption.
Innovo OE Touch Hide Invoice Age in A/R Invoices
If set to yes, the age icon (image) will be hidden in the Open Invoices page. This is useful when custom A/R inquiry bucket names are in effect.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to N unless you are using custom A/R Inquiry buckets.
Innovo Availability Display Options
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file
When the availability setting is "Show w/ Qty", the quantity available will display when material is in-stock, and the plenty date will display when material is out-of-stock. You may not want to show the plenty date in customer mode so to disable the plenty date from displaying, set the "Hide Availability Date for Show w/ Qty" prompt to Y.
Most companies base stock status of an item using the Status field on the main Product Maintenance screen. If, however, you base stock status at the branch level, you will want to set the "Define Stock Status" prompt to Branch.
By default, "Availability: Call" will display when an item is out-of-stock. You can however use this control file to display a custom out-of-stock message. And this message can be different versus stock status of the product.
For example, if you want to display "Available Next Day" for the availability when a stock item is out-of-stock and "Special Order Item" when a nonstock item is out of stock you have that flexibility.
*Applies to Customer Mode Only

Best Practice:
Hide Availability Date: Y - This date is usually not valid.
Define Stock Status: However you define stock status
Stock display if out of stock: Enter a message that makes sense for your company - i.e. Available in 1-2 Days to give the customer some idea of when it may be available.
Non-Stock display if out of stock: Special Order Item - this is helpful so the customer understands this is not a normally stocked item.
Innovo OE Touch Display Ship Branch Availability
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file
This control file, when enabled, will allow you to display the availability at the customer's ship branch in addition to the network availability on Search Results and Product Details. Enter a Y to enable this feature.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set this control file to Y. This will give the customer the information about whether or not the product is available at their preferred branch, without drilling into the branch availability screen.
Innovo Display Nonstock Availability
This setting allows you to decide whether or not to display availability on nonstock items. You can set this to Yes which will always display nonstock availability, No which will never show nonstock availability, or Avail which will display availability on a nonstock product only if there is availability.
To determine if the item is stock or nonstock, the main screen of the Product file will be used by default. To use the branch stock status flag, set Determine Stock Status to Branch.
This control file can work in conjunction with the Innovo Display Nonstock Pricing control file, which can be set to only display the pricing if the item is available.
*Applies to Customer Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Avail
Innovo Show Availability for Employees
REQUIRED Control File
This allows you to override how the availability will display in the app for your employees. By default, the employee would see what the customer would see based on the customer setting. This control file will define what the employee sees no matter what.
*Applies to Employee Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Show w/Qty - your employees need to have this information to help customers and be as efficient and productive as possible.
Innovo OE Touch Disable Display of Order Availability
This control file will prevent order availability from displaying on the order confirmation page and in the Order Detail page of Open Orders and Quotes when set to Y.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to Y
Innovo OE Touch Display Availability on Checkout
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
The final page of the checkout process is the Review Order page. This page displays the shipping address, order subtotal, and lists all product details. If this control file is set to Y for Display Availability on Checkout, then availability will display, in addition to the price and quantity, based on either the Network or the Default Shipping Branch, depending on the setting you choose for Calculate Availability By, or shipping branch override from the shipping information page. Note: if the Network setting is chosen, the available quantity is the sum of network branches.
How availability is displayed is determined by:
- If the item is in stock and there is enough quantity available within the Ship Branch or Network (per selected setting) to fulfill the entire line item need, the words “In Stock” will display in green.
- If the item is in stock but only partially available in the Ship Branch or Network, the words “Partial Stock” with the available quantity will display in yellow.
- If the item is not in stock at the selected Ship Branch or Network, you have the option to display a custom message. You can display different messages based on availability status. If an item is out of stock in the selected shipping branch but in stock in other authorized branches (Out of Stock in Shipping Branch Field), you can display one message but if the item is out of stock in all authorized branches (Out of Stock in Network Field) you can display a different message.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice:
Display Availability on Checkout - set to Y.
Calculate Availability By - Set to Ship Branch
Enter your various custom messages for Out of Stock in Shipping Branch and Out of Stock in Network.
Innovo OE Touch Show Consignment Availability
If this is set, any consignment availability for a customer will be included in the availability amount for that product. This is at the total level and at the branch availability level.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to N unless you have customers who use OE Touch AND have consignment with you.
Innovo Images Document Profiles
You must enter the document imaging profile in the prompt, Innovo Product Images, where you will store the images on your imaging server for product images taken by authorized employees through the app. If this is not defined, the user will receive an error in the app when trying to save the image.
*Applies to Employee mode only.

Best Practice: User preference.
Innovo OE Touch Branch Display
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This allows you to select what description will be displayed for each branch in the app. The valid options are:
- Entity Name (from customer file)
- Entity City (from customer file - Default)
- Long Description (from branch maintenance)
- Short Description (from branch maintenance)
This description is used in the branches page, branch availability page, and ship branch overrides field on checkout.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to Long Description which should be the most descriptive information, especially if you have more than one branch in the same city.
Innovo OE Touch Add Branch Number in Ship Branch Overrides
This will add the branch number to the branch name when ship branch overrides are in place during the checkout process. The default is to just display the branch name.
*Applies to Customer an Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to N because the branch number usually means nothing to the customer.
Innovo Display Nonstock Pricing
This setting allows you to decide whether or not to display pricing on nonstock items. You can set this to Yes, which will always display nonstock pricing. No, which will never show nonstock pricing. Or Avail, which will display the pricing on a nonstock product only if there is availability.
To determine if the item is stock or nonstock, the main screen of the Product file will be used by default. To use the branch stock status flag, set Determine Stock Status to Branch.
* This can be overridden at the customer level on the Innovo Customer User Defined screen.
*Applies to Customer Mode only

Best Practice: Innovo Display Nonstock Pricing - set to Avail so you'll only show the pricing if the item is actually available.
Determine Nonstock Status - Set to match how you determine Stock/NonStock status, by product or by branch.
Innovo Hide Pricing on Price Lines
In customer mode, you can hide pricing for all items in a price line. If a product is in one of these excluded lines, the app will display "Call for Pricing".
*Applies to Customer Mode Only

Best Practice: Leave blank, which will not hide pricing on any price lines. Providing your customer as much information as possible on all products will increase app engagement and usage and provide a better overall experience for the customer.
Innovo OE Touch Display List Price
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
If set, list price is displayed in product detail. Note: This may be overridden at the contact level in the Innovo Contact User Defined Screen. Regardless of this setting, list price will only display if greater than customer specific pricing.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to Y unless you do not have good List Pricing. Showing your List Pricing will help the customer see the discount you are providing them and provide a more positive overall customer experience.
Innovo OE Touch Respect WEB Matrix Pricing
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
If set to yes, the matrix will be checked for the WEB pricing level in customer mode only. See the OE Touch Discounts in Eclipse article for more information.
*Applies to Customer Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Y - will only apply if the WEB matrix is populated, and when it is you can offer app-only / web-only discounts to your customers who use the app.
Innovo OE Touch Display Cash Discount in Order Detail
If set to yes, the cash terms discount will appear in the app in addition to any remote discount posted to the order.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes.

Best Practice: Set to N. Not all of your customers will want their employees to see cash discounts. Remote discount will always be displayed, if enabled.
Innovo OE Touch Disable Remote Discount for Employees
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This setting will not apply a remote discount to an order created through OE Touch in Employee mode, even if the customer has a remote discount setup.
For more on remote discounts view our OE Touch Discounts in Eclipse article under Marketing Your App.
*Applies to Employee Mode Only.

Best Practice: Set to Y. Discounts are typically offered to incentivize customers to use the app, it is not helpful to offer the discount if your employee is having to enter the order.
Innovo OE Touch Override Default Remote Discount% to 0
This setting will disable all customers in your system from receiving a remote discount for OE Touch, regardless of what is applied to WOE orders. You can then override customers individually if you want them to have a discount in the Innovo UD Customer Maintenance screen.
*Applies to Customer Mode only

Best Practice: Set to N. Any discount you are offering for Web Order Entry should also be applied to customers using OE Touch to entice customers to order via OE Touch as well.
Innovo OE Touch Default Product Sort
HGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This allows you to set the default product sort when a product search is done in the app. The valid options are:
- Most popular (descending hits - see Innovo OE Touch Hits Calculation By)
- Description (default)
- Description Descending
- Price Low to High
- Price High to Low
- Availability (descending - out of stock at bottom)
- Price Line by Description
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to Most Popular so it will show the products you sell the most of, which is most likely what your customer is searching for, at the top of the list.
Innovo OE Touch Hits Calculation By
This setting refers to the “Most Popular” product search sort. “Most Popular” is calculated by descending hits and the hits calculation can be performed using the customers’ default ship branch or network of authorized branches. The authorized branch list is the default.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Keep blank or enter Network to keep the default of Network. This will ensure the most relevant search sort order for the customer if you're using Most Popular, the recommended sort setting.
Innovo OE Touch Display Messages in Product Detail
This allows you to display product reminder messages and / or product non-stock comments in the app. The non-stock comment comes from the control file, “Nonstock Comment”. Product reminder messages will appear as a red flag on the product detail page. These can be limited to certain price lines based on the control file, Innovo OE Touch Show Reminder Messages for Price Lines.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice:
Display Product Reminder Messages - Set to N, unless you are confident that your messages were meant for customers to view.
Display Non-Stock Control File Comments - Set to Y, which will mimic what happens in SOE
Innovo OE Touch Show Reminder Messages for Price Lines
This allows you to restrict the display of reminder messages for products associated with these price lines. The control file, Innovo OE Touch Display Messages in Product Detail must be set to display reminder messages.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Leave blank and do not block any reminder messages unless you have specific notes on products that the customer absolutely should not see, then enter those Price Lines.
Innovo OE Touch Display NonStock Products for Employees
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This allows your employees to see NonStocks when searching in the app when you are limiting your customers from seeing NonStock products (set in control file Valid WOE Product Statuses). If NonStock is already in the valid product statuses control file, this setting will make no difference.
*Applies to Employee Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Y if you are not displaying NonStock products for customers so your employees can have as much information as possible to help their customers.
Innovo OE Touch Enable Product Not Found
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This allows a user to add a product not found to an order. If a search result returns no products and this control file is set to yes, the user will be presented with a pop-up window that says “Product Not Found. Would you like to add a special request to your order?”. If they select yes, they will be presented with a form where they can enter in product information and a required quantity, and this item will be placed on the order as the default product not found. The description entered in the form will be attached as a line item comment.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to Y to help reduce the number of phone calls into the store.
Innovo OE Touch Exclude Price Lines
This will exclude products from the app that are associated with these price lines. You can enter in additional price line restrictions at the customer level in the Innovo UD Customer Maintenance Screen.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Leave blank to include products from all price lines. This will ensure the best possible customer experience. The more products your customer has access to in the app, the more they will use it.
Innovo OE Touch Ignore PDW Product Links
This allows you to ignore spec sheet and product image URLs in the PDW and use the URLs listed in the product external references screen instead.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Depends on your preferences
Innovo OE Touch Part Number Display
This allows you to display the internal Eclipse product ID at the top of the product detail page. By default, the first two words of the product description display.
Note: Regardless of this setting, the Eclipse Product ID will always be displayed in the product details page whether in customer mode or employee mode.
*Applies to Customer and Employee modes

Best Practice: Use the default of Description as the internal product ID usually doesn't provide any useful information for your customer and can be viewed on the product details page regardless of this setting.
Innovo OE Touch Default Qty Break List Largest to Smallest
If the control file, Display All Quantity Breaks in WOE is enabled, the default is for the smallest quantity break to appear at the top of the page and the largest at the bottom. Setting this control file to yes will switch the order by showing the largest quantity break at the top and the smallest at the bottom.

Best Practice: User preference.
Innovo OE Touch Search Catalog Override for Employees
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This allows you to override the control file setting in Display Catalog Products in WOE in employee mode, which will give employees access to Catalog Products in the app if you are excluding them from customer view.
*Applies to Employee Mode only

Best Practice: Set to Y if not displaying Catalog products in the Display Catalog Products in WOE control file in order to provide as much information to your employees as possible.
Innovo Exclude Product Image Profiles
When product images are displayed in the app, we look at the control file Setting WOE, PDW Image Priorities and use the hierarchy defined to build the image URL. If ATTACHED IMAGES are listed in that hierarchy, we use the first attachment on the Product for the image. If you store other attachment types on the product, you will want to exclude those image profiles so we will look to the first non-excluded attachment.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Depends on your individual settings.
Innovo OE Touch Display Serial Numbers in Order Detail
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file
Set this control file to Y to allow customers and employees to see the serial numbers of serialized products in order detail.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to Y so your customers and employees can get more information without making a phone call or logging into Eclipse.
Innovo OE Touch Display Line Item Comments in Order Detail
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file
If set to yes, line item comments and order comments will appear in the app in order detail. If logged in as an employee, the comment type we look for is SOE Allowed. If logged in as a customer, we look for SOE Printing. This should mimic what the employee and customer are allowed to see today.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to Y. This will allow the customer to see line item comments and order comments on existing quotes, open orders & invoices in order detail.
Innovo OE Touch Use Alternate Description
*New in release 3.9.0
This will allow you to either replace the product description throughout the entire app with the alternate product description if one exists, or display the alternate product description in addition to the regular product description on the product detail page. You have several choices for displaying the alternate description:
- Replace Product Description - this will replace the product description with the alternate product description throughout the entire app
- Display in Product Detail - this will display the alternate product description in addition to the regular product description on the product detail page
- Leave blank - the alternate product description will not display

Best Practice: User preference.
Innovo OE Touch Sort Drill Search Results
By default, drill down results appear exactly how they are listed in product family maintenance, or based on the default PRODUCT index sort in Eclipse if the results are according to keywords. Setting this control file to Yes will have products appearing at the end of a drill down path sorted according to the control file Innovo OE Touch Default Product Sort.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Set to N unless they are automatically imported by Innovo or based on keywords.
Innovo OE Touch Remove Drill Downs Default
This setting will remove drill downs from displaying for all customers. You can turn this on/off at the customer level as well on the Innovo UD Customer Maintenance Screen. This is useful when your Eclipse server hosts multiple companies or “brands” and you don’t want to set up separate templates for each.
*Applies to Customer & Employee Modes.

Best Practice: Set to N. Drill downs help your customers find the products they are looking for when they don't know exactly what they want. It is recommended to setup drill downs and make them visible to your customers unless you have multiple companies or "brands" and don't want to setup separate drill downs for each.
Innovo OE Touch Allow Contacts to Email Orders from App Default
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This setting allows you to globally set email allowed for order detail for all contacts. You override this at the contact level by setting Email Allowed to Yes on the Innovo UD Contact Maintenance Screen as well. If left blank, the default is set to not show the email button.
Note: This will respect the print style on the order.
*Applies to Customer Mode only

Best Practice: Set to Yes to allow your customers the ability to email from order detail by default.
Innovo OE Touch Print Style Overrides on Email
This allows you to override the print style at the order level when a quote, order, or invoice is emailed directly from the app. Note: There are overrides at the customer level in the Innovo UD Customer Maintenance screen and at the contact level in the Innovo UD Contact Maintenance screen.
*Applies to Customer Mode only

Best Practice: Leave Blank to accept customer defaults. This will respect what is set at the customer level rather than apply a single default print style to every customer.
Innovo OE Touch Customer Email Override
By default when a customer emails an order (quote, order, invoice) from OE Touch, the "From" email address defaults to the first email address listed on the WWW screen off of Contact Maintenance. To override this so that all emails come from a designated address, set that email address in this control file.
*Applies to Customer Mode Only

Best Practice: Many email systems will not send emails that are not from a valid email address within your domain, so best practice is to add a valid email address within your domain.
Innovo OE Touch Email for Feedback & Photos
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This is the default “to” email address displayed in the app when the user sends feedback, emails a photo, or submits a Nonstock Request from the Resources page in OE Touch. The branch setting is determined by the customers home branch. Note: You can enter in a group email address if you want more than one person to receive the emails.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: Setup a group email address, or one per branch, which will go to multiple people in the branch and enter those email addresses. Sending to multiple people will increase the likelihood of someone seeing the email and responding to it. If only one person receives the emails and they are on vacation, then no one will see them. The group should have two or three people on it, with one being the primary and others designated as secondary and tertiary - to avoid duplication of effort.
Innovo OE Touch Add Promos to Home Screen
This will add a promotions menu item to the home screen in the app. Please see the Innovo OE Touch Promotions control file for more information.
*Applies to Customer and Employee Modes

Best Practice: We recommend using Promos and setting to Y, but you then must enter promotions in the Innovo OE Touch Promotions control file, explained below. Having promotions is a great way to engage your customer and increase usage of the app. If you are not going to setup any promotions, set this to N so the promos section doesn't display in the app.
Innovo OE Touch Promotions
Promotions are based on product families in Eclipse. Use this control file to enter in the product families that will display under the promotions menu item in the app. The product family name will appear with the total product count. When the user selects that family, the app will display all products within that family in the order they are listed in product family maintenance. Note: You must set control file, Innovo OE Touch Add Promos to Home Screen to yes.

Best Practice: Create and enter at least one promotional product family
Innovo OE Touch Sales Source
REQUIRED Control File
This is the default sales source used for any order created through the app (see control file, Innovo OE Touch Sales Source for Employees which overrides this setting in employee mode). Many customers like to set this so they can report on mobile orders and easily see the breakdown of sales in the business summary. Note: This can be overridden in customer mode on the customer file in the Innovo Customer User Defined screen.
*Applies to Customer & Employee Modes (Unless Innovo OE Touch Sales Source for Employees is also set)

Best Practice: Set to something that defines where these orders come from, like OE TOUCH*. It should be something that will allow you to measure your sales coming from the OE Touch Mobile app for reporting purposes.
*Will need to be created as a valid sales source and added to the GL.
Innovo OE Touch Sales Source for Employees
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This will override the sales source in control file, Innovo OE Touch Sales Source in employee mode.
*Applies to Employee Mode only

Best Practice: Depends on your preferences and reporting requirements, but we do recommend making it different from the sales source used for customers.
Innovo OE Touch Display Shipping Instructions
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This will display shipping instructions in Order Detail for bids, open orders, and invoices.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice: Set to Y. This will give your customers access to more information about their order which may prevent a phone call.
Innovo OE Touch Display Default Shipping Instructions
If default shipping instructions are set for a customer, enabling this control file will display those instructions in the shipping instructions screen during checkout.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice: Set to Y. This will only come into play if the customer has default shipping instructions setup. If they do, you will want them to automatically display in the app so the customer doesn't have to type them every time.
Innovo OE Touch Enable Line Item Standard Comments
Set this control file to enable employees to select from a defined list of line item comments when items are in the shopping cart.
*Applies to Employee mode only.

Best Practice: Set to N unless you have a specific purpose for this.
Innovo OE Touch Use Ship Via to Determine Status
This setting will set the order status based on the default ship via status (set in Ship Via Maintenance). If this is set, the order status will not display in the app as a selection in customer mode.
*Applies to Customer Mode only.

Best Practice: Set to N. If you are only allowing orders to come in as a Bid, as recommended, then this setting is irrelevant. Otherwise, it is recommended to allow the customer to choose their own order status.
Innovo OE Touch Valid Order Statuses for Employees
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This allows you to define the order statuses your employees can use in the app. You can override these statuses at the user level in the Innovo User Maintenance UD screen. If this is left blank the order statuses will default to the customer setting.
*Applies to Employee Mode only.
Please note: OE Touch does not support the Pick Up Now or Invoice order statuses. For virtually immediate processing of will call orders, use the Ship When Available status and set up a special print phantom to run every minute that processes Ship When Available orders from OE Touch.

Best Practice: Give your employees all of your order statuses except Pick Up Now and Invoice, which are not supported in the app. You can override this for certain employees at the User level, if necessary.
Innovo OE Touch Order Writer
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This is the default order writer that will appear on all orders created in customer mode. You can set this to be either the inside or outside Employee for the customer or a specific user. The default, if nothing set will be “MBL”.
Note: The Default Order Writer must be a valid Eclipse User
*Applies to Customer Mode only.

Best Practice: User Preference
Innovo OE Touch Order Writer for Employees
By default, the order writer on an order created in Employee mode is the Employee logged into the app. This allows you to override the order writer to either the customer’s inside or outside Employee. This is helpful if commissions are based on order writer.
*Applies to Employee Mode only.

Best Practice: Use the default of the person logged into the app
Innovo OE Touch Customer Name Display
This allows you to display either the customer name or customer index fields at the top of the home page in the app. It is also used when an Employee searches for a customer and when a customer is presented with ship-to selections. By default, customer index is used in the app.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes

Best Practice: User Preference
Innovo OE Touch Order Approval Email Template
*Required for Order Approvals
When the OE Touch user submits an order for approval, the manager receives an email with a link to the approval web page. This Eterm only control file allows you to personalize the email message sent to the manager for approval. Use the Logo Path (Alt-P) hotkey to enter a publicly accessible URL for your company logo.

Best Practice: User Preference. For more on this feature and the most recent list of available tokens, see the documentation on Order Approvals here.
Innovo OE Touch Product Not Found for Order Approval
*Required for Order Approvals
In the Order Approval process, the manager can enter in free form text which is attached to the miscellaneous charge product defined in this control file.

Best Practice: Create a miscellaneous charge item and enter it in this control file. See our documentation for more information on the Order Approval process.
Innovo OE Touch Quote Approval
This control file allows you to designate the ship via(s) a quote must have in order to make it available to a customer in the app for approval.
- Ship Via for Quote Complete: Designate the ship via or ship vias to be used to consider the quote ready for the customer to approve. Use the Multi hotkey to enter more than one ship via.
*Applies to Customer mode only.

Best Practice: We recommend you create a new ship via or ship vias to use for this purpose only. For more on this feature, see the documentation on Quote Approvals here.
Innovo OE Touch Include Expired Bids for Employees
You can give your employees the ability to see expired bids without giving that capability to your customers. Enter a Y in this control file to include expired bids for employees.
*Applies to Employee mode only

Best Practice: Set to Y so your employees have access to expired bids. Note: this can cause the app to take longer to load when the employee goes into Open Quotes.
Innovo OE Touch Include Expired Bids
This allows you to include expired bids in the quotes section of the app. If set to yes, an expired bid in the app will display “Expired” highlighted in red. Note: This can be overridden at the customer level on the Innovo Customer User Defined screen.
*Applies to Customer mode only

Best Practice: Set to N. This way customers only see active bids with valid pricing.
Innovo OE Touch Exclude Orders for Types
This allows you to exclude $0 orders / invoices and/or credits from the app.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice:
Innovo OE Touch Exclude Credit Orders / Invoices - Set to N. You want your customers to be able to see their credits.
Innovo OE Touch Exclude $0 Orders / Invoices - Set to Y. Typically $0 orders are not anything the customer needs to see, and it can create clutter when the customer is looking for an order.
Innovo OE Touch Display Proof of Delivery Signature
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
This will display any signature attached to the invoice in the Order Detail screen.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice: Set to Y if you have electronic signatures attached, otherwise N. If you have electronic signatures attached, it is a good idea to make those signatures available in the app for your customers as an added convenience.
Innovo OE Touch Set Login Timeout (Hours)
This allows you to set a timeout for the app so the user will have to re-log if idle for x number of hours. This can be overridden at the customer level as well on the Innovo Customer User Defined screen.
*Applies to Customer mode only.

Best Practice: Leave blank, which will never log the customer out automatically. It is a great selling point to tell your customers that once they login, they stay logged in. No need to login every time they want to use the app - this creates a great user experience.
Innovo OE Touch Respect UD Product Fields when Scanning
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to review & set this control file.
Setting this control file to Y allows you to expand the fields checked when a barcode scan is performed in the app. This will include all 10 UD fields found off of product maintenance. By default, only the UPC code, customer part number and internal Eclipse ID (if prefixed by a “.”) are searched.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice: Set to Y to increase the likelihood of finding the product when scanned.
Innovo OE Touch Required Date Lead Time (Days)
The default required date during checkout is the following day. To change the default, enter the number of days from today you would like the default required date to be. For example, if you want it to default to tomorrow, enter a 1. If you want it to default to today, enter 0.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice: User Preference
Innovo OE Touch Valid Ship Vias for Employees
This allows you to override the ship vias your employees can see in the app. You can also override these at the user level in the Innovo User Maintenance UD screen. If left blank, the ship vias will default to the customer setting.
*Applies to Employee Mode only

Best Practice: User Preference, but a good use would be to include a ship via your customer's do not have and then use it in conjunction with the OE Touch Bypass Remote Actions for Employee Bids control file to exclude the bid from being sent to the customer via the activity trigger and/or keep it from appearing in the remote order entry review queue.
Innovo OE Touch Default ShipTo Address to BillTo
When a customer logs into the app, they are presented with a list of ship-to’s to select from. Setting this control file will bypass this selection and default the ship-to in the application to the bill-to/ship-to customer. At any point, the customer may change the ship-to from the My Account/My Profile page or during the checkout process.
*Applies to Customer Mode only

Best Practice: Set to Y. This will avoid confusion when a user who is setup on a bill-to/ship-to account, with several related ship-to accounts, logs in and has to select from multiple ship-to's. They will automatically login to the bill-to/ship-to account enhancing the user experience.
Innovo OE Touch Show Salesperson in My Profile Page
You can now choose to display the Inside Salesperson, Outside Salesperson, or both, in the My Profile page.
Select one of the following from the dropdown:

Inside - display the inside salesperson on the My Profile page
Outside - display the outside salesperson on the My Profile page
Both - display both the inside and the outside salesperson on the My Profile page
None - will not display either the inside or outside salesperson on the My Profile page (this is the default)
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice: Set to display Outside Salesperson. This can be useful information to the customer and is usually filled out.
Innovo OE Touch Kiosk Message
When you enable Kiosk Mode (Click here for full Kiosk Mode documentation) you can specify the messages you would like to display to the customer, based on the availability of the products on their order, after the order has been submitted.
Enter the branch, and the type of message:
- Avail Now - when products are available
- Backorder - when products are on backorder
- Credit - when an order goes on credit hold
Then Enter the message you would like to display for that particular combination of branch and type. Think of it as "What to do next" instructions for the customer.
You can use ALT+C to copy the same message to another branch or all branches.
*Applies to Kiosk mode only

Best Practice: Enter a message for each of the Branch/Type combinations so the customer knows what to do, and where to go, after they have placed an order in Kiosk mode.
Innovo OE Touch Videos
This will allow you to add YouTube videos (YouTube only) to your app. These will be displayed in the videos page of the app and played directly in the application. Note: The URL entered in this control file must be copied and pasted from the browser URL and not from the link they provide.
*Applies to Customer & Employee modes.

Best Practice: User Preference
Innovo OE Touch Bypass Remote Actions for Employee Bids
HIGHLY RECOMENDED to review and set this control file
This allows you to bypass performing certain actions when bids are created in Employee mode. You can bypass the following functions:
- Mobile Order Entry Submit trigger - if set to Y the system will not send an email if this trigger is defined for the customer. The Employee will be responsible for sending the customer the quote once it's been completed.
- Remote Order Review Queue - if set to Y the system will not log an order in the queue and will also ignore the Default User to be messaged on New Order# setting at the customer level.
This will only be enabled for the ship via specified. Make sure you add this ship via to the list of ship vias in control file, Innovo OE Touch Valid Ship Vias for Employees.
*Applies to Employee Mode only

Best Practice: User Preference - see Innovo OE Touch Valid Ship Vias for Employees for how these two control files can work together.
Innovo OE Touch Valid Price Views for Employees
HIGHLY RECOMENDED to review and set this control file
The available pricing views for employees are the following:
- Unit Price / COGS / GP%
- Unit Price / Cost / GP%
- Unit Price / Formula
These views can be assigned individually at the Employee level in the Innovo User UD screen or for all employees by setting this option. See the Editing Pricing & Quotes documentation for more on this.
*Applies to Employee Mode only

Best Practice: Enable at least Unit Price / Cost / GP% and Unit Price / Formula here for all employees. Allowing your employees to view this information in OE Touch saves them time from having to login to Eclipse on their computer to get information and edit pricing which will make them more efficient, increase their app usage and comfort level, also making it more likely that they will sell the app to their customers.
