Getting Started with OE Touch

When we install the Innovo Mobile Platform on your Eclipse server, we load many control files and user defined settings that you can modify to optimize the experience for your customers and employees.

Control Files

Most control files you need for OE Touch begin with Innovo OE Touch however there are a few that are shared with other Innovo applications, and they will only begin with Innovo. All of the Innovo control files applicable to OE Touch are documented here: Innovo Control Files. We also respect quite a few standard Eclipse control files and they can be found here: Eclipse Control Files.

User Defined Screens

We load four User Defined (UD) screens on your system that you can use to customize your OE Touch experience. The UD screens were loaded on the first available function key for each respective maintenance screen. Using Eterm (alt-F key) or Solar (ctrl-F key), the screens can be accessed from the following locations:

  • Customer Maintenance (NOVO_CUSTOMER_AUTH)
  • Contact Maintenance (NOVO_CONTACT_AUTH)
  • Branch Maintenance (NOVO_BRANCH_HOURS)
  • User Maintenance (NOVO_USER_AUTH - Eterm only)

All of the features and functionality on these screens are documented here: User Defined Screens. Please note in the latest release, 3.4.0, we included an Eterm utility (NOVO.DVR.ADD.UD.RECS) where you can pre-populate the Innovo User Defined files with blank records. This makes mass-loading to these files much easier. You will need to add the utility to a menu of your choosing.

Dictionaries for each UD file can be found in the Eclipse Dictionary Summary.

Eclipse Maintenance Screens

There are a number of settings that we respect throughout Eclipse and regularly reference in our documentation. You can find a detailed listing here of each field we respect on each maintenance screen: Eclipse Maintenance Screens.

Authorization Keys

All of the Authorization Keys that we respect are documented here: Authorization Keys

Activity Triggers

We respect the Activity Trigger Mobile Order Entry Submit when a new order is placed through OE Touch. We also use activity triggers when sending smart push notifications from Eclipse. Documentation on this feature can be found here: Smart Notifications

The Innovo Customer Portal

The Innovo Customer Portal is where you will go to manage all of your OE Touch users, both Employee users and Customer users. The URL address of the portal is http://portal.goinnovo.com. Anyone who is setup as an Administrator in the Portal can login using their Portal credentials. Their user name will be the email address associated with their Eclipse User and the password is set at the time of invite. If you don't know your portal credentials, you may request a password reset from the login screen of the portal. Administrators may also set any other employee user as an administrator.

Inviting Users

Employee users are invited in the Innovo Customer Portal via their Eclipse User. As long as an employee has a valid Eclipse User they will be in the Portal and can be invited.

Our Video "Search For and Invite Employees" walks you through the process of inviting an Employee in the in the Innovo Portal.

Customer users are also invited in the Innovo Customer Portal via their Contact in Eclipse. All customer users need to have a valid contact in Eclipse associated with a Bill-To/Ship-To or Ship-To account and must have a WOE Login and Password, even if you're not using Eclipse WOE.

Our Video "Search for and Invite Customers" walks you through the process of inviting a Customer/Contact in the Innovo Portal.

Custom Invitation Templates

You can create and/or manage your invitation templates in the Manage > Content Tab of the Innovo Customer Portal.

Our video "Create Custom Content - Email Templates" walks you through the process of creating an email template.

Managing Users

On the Manage section of the Innovo Customer Portal there is a tab called Users. This tab shows all of your users who have been invited to the OE Touch app (and any other Innovo apps you use). From here you can edit and delete users.

Our video "Manage - Users Tab" goes over the Users tab of the Customer Portal.
