App Functionality
You may now display Substitutes and/or Related Products in OE Touch.
Substitutes and Related Products will display in the Product Detail screen for the parent product. If a product is marked “Required” in Related Items Maintenance, that product will automatically be added to the Shopping Cart, not only from Product detail, but also from Search Results, Quick Pad, and Reorder Pad when the parent product is added.
When a product with substitutes and/or related products is displayed in Product Detail, you will see additional expandable sections, each with the heading of the related product type or with Substitute Products for substitute items.
If an item is required, it will display with a gray background underneath the appropriate heading. When a parent item is added to the cart, the required related item(s) will also be added to the cart respecting the Quantity entered in Related Items Maintenance.
When adding the parent product to the cart, you may enable the Innovo OE Touch Display Related Products control file to prompt the user with a list of any non-required items. This is great when there are additional products you recommend that they purchase when purchasing the parent product.
The user can tap the Add to Cart button next to the individual item or they can tap the add to cart button at the top to add all add-on items. If they do not want to add any of the related items, they can tap Cancel on the top left.
If the parent item is removed from the cart, the required items will also be removed. Once the order is submitted to Eclipse, the parent/child relationship will be preserved.

This control file allows you to specify the types of product relationships that can be used in Product Maintenance > Related Items Maintenance.
Innovo Control Files
Innovo OE Touch Display Related Products
This control file (only available in Eterm) allows you to choose which types of related products display in the app and how they behave.
- Display Substitutes: Set to Y to display substitute Products. Set to N if you do not want substitute products to display.
- Display Related Products: Set to Y to display related products. Set to N if you do not want related products to display.
- Prompt for Non-Required Products: Set to Y if you want to prompt for non-required products when a parent item is added to the cart. Set to N if you do not want to prompt for the non-required products.
Limit to Types: If Display Related Products is set to Y, enter the types of those items you would like to display. These types are designated in the Valid Related Product Types control file. If left blank, all types will display.
Limit Prompt to Types: If Prompt for Non-Required Products is set to Y, enter the product types here you would like to have prompted. If left blank, all types of non-required products will be prompted.
Related Item Maintenance (Eterm) / Product Relationship Maintenance (Solar)
This is the Eclipse screen where you designate the related products, what type they are, and whether or not they are required.
Eterm will prompt for Substitute Items or Related Products when you select ALT+U from the Subs hotkey.
