Signature Touch Control Files

To make the most out of your Signature Touch app, please review the following control files. Some control files are required while others are highly recommended. The rest are usually fine if left with the default setting.

Required Control files are indicated in a red box with an exclamation mark.

Recommended Control files are indicated in a yellow box with an exclamation mark.

Best Practices are shown for each control file setting in a green box with a light bulb icon.

Eclipse Control Files

EPad Signature Document Profile

Required Control File

Signatures taken through the app are stored in the document imaging profile set up in this control file, with one notable exception, Solar Close Counter signatures. When taking signatures from Solar Close Counter, the profile used is set in the EPad Settings Maintenance screen.

Note: EPAD in the screenshot below is just a storage profile example name. Your system may have an ESIG profile, which is commonly used. You can press F10 to see a list of all of your system's storage profiles and choose any one you would like to store the signatures.

*Applies to Counter and Will Call Modes

Best Practice: User Preference

Innovo Control Files

Innovo Images Document Profiles

Required Control File

Set a profile in the Innovo Manifest Pictures field for storing photos taken in Will Call mode. We recommend using a different profile than what you use for signatures, but you can use the same profile for both. If not set, the error message, "No document profile configured for Innovo", will display and the photos won't be attached to the invoice.

*Applies to Will Call Mode and Deliver

Best Practice: Setting a profile different from the signature profile is recommended

Innovo SigTouch Default Signed By to Ordered By in SigTouch Client

This setting will default the "signed by" name in the Innovo Signature Touch client to the "ordered by" name from the Eclipse sales order header. This is only applicable when signing an invoice from the totals screen of sales order entry and does not affect Solar Close Counter. The signed by name can still be edited before the customer signs.

*Applies to Counter Mode Only (non Solar Close Counter)

Best Practice: Set to N because the Ordered By is not the person who will be signing for the order in most cases.

Innovo SigTouch Disable Signed By Default to Ordered By in Will-Call Mode

Highly Recommended

By default in Will Call mode, the "Signed By" name defaults to the "Ordered By" from the sales order header. When this control file is set to "Y", the "signed by" name in Signature Touch will default to blank.

*Applies to Will Call Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Y because the Ordered By is not the person who will be signing for the order in most cases.

Innovo SigTouch Display Staging Location in Will-Call Mode

Highly Recommended

Display RF staging location of the order in will call mode.

*Applies to Will Call Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Y if you use staging locations

Innovo SigTouch Enable Contactless Signature at Counter

When enabled, a new menu item "Send Link to Sign" will be available on the File menu in the Solar Close Counter application. For more information on Contactless signing, click here.

*Applies to Solar Closed Counter Mode only

Best Practice: User Preference

Innovo SigTouch / Deliver Hide Pricing Default

This control file prevents pricing from displaying at the order level in Sig Touch. You can override this for individual customers on the Innovo Customer User Defined Screen.

Please note there is another control file, Innovo SigTouch / Deliver Use Print Style for Hide Pricing that works in conjunction with this setting.

*Applies to Counter and Will Call Modes, and Deliver

Best Practice: User Preference

Innovo SigTouch Ignore Cash Required

This setting allows you to ignore any cash required settings before a signature is taken.

*Applies to Counter Mode Only (non Solar Close Counter)

Best Practice: Set to N to ensure payment is taken when cash is required.

Innovo SigTouch Include All Gens in COD Check

This setting will check all order generations for any cash required and require payment if any gens have a balance due. By default, the app only respects the current gen for COD eligibility.

*Applies to Counter Mode only

Best Practice: User Preference

Innovo SigTouch / Deliver Is Signed By Required

Highly Recommended

This setting will require a “Signed By” name to be entered. In Counter mode, the terminal operator will enter the signed by name. In Will Call mode and in Deliver, the customer will enter the signed by name.

*Applies to Counter (Non Solar Close Counter) and Will Call Modes, and Deliver. For Close Counter, you can use Eclipse's "Require Signature Name" setting in ePad Settings maintenance.

Best Practice: Set to Yes so that you will have a readable name for the signed by because signatures are not always legible.

Innovo SigTouch Keep Inprocess Status Open for Will-Calls

By default when an order is signed in Will Call mode, the order process status will be set to Closed. This control file allows you to retain the inprocess status after signing so it will not be set to Closed.

*Applies to Will Call Mode Only

Best Practice: Keep default of N

Innovo SigTouch Terminal ID’s for Auto Signature

There is an activity trigger action, Auto Terminal Sig Touch, set up on the Invoice Order trigger that will automatically pop the Innovo Terminal Signature app when an order is processed (either pick up now or invoice). This removes the step of going to the totals screen once the order is processed. This control file limits this functionality to specified terminal IDs.

*Applies to Counter Mode only

Best Practice: User Preference

Innovo SigTouch / Deliver Terms & Conditions URL

Enter a URL to display the Terms & Conditions button on the Signing Screen in Signature Touch and Deliver. The URL content will be displayed in a popup window when the button is pressed. In SigTouch Counter and Will-Call modes, the price branch of the orders is used when checking the control file. In Deliver, the manifest branch is used.

*Applies to Counter and Will Call Modes, and Deliver

Best Practice: User Preference

Innovo SigTouch Update Prt Status Only if Order is in Status

When an order is signed in counter mode, the print status will change according to the control file, Print Status Override on EPad Signature Upload. This setting will allow you to only change the print status if its currently in a specified print status. For example, if this control file is set to Q the print status will only change on an order that is currently in a Q status.

*Applies to Counter Mode Only

Best Practice: User Preference

Innovo SigTouch Update Ship Date to Today in Will-Call Mode

Highly Recommended

In Will-Call mode, Setting this control file to "Y" will update the ship-date of the order to today when the customer signs. If the order is in a closed period or already paid and the user does not have the authorization to update a sales order that has been paid, the date will not update.

*Applies to Will Call Mode Only

Best Practice: Set to Y to have an accurate ship date

Innovo SigTouch / Deliver Use Print Style for Hide Pricing

Highly Recommended

When enabled, and the invoice is set to a BLIND print style, pricing will not display in the app. If not set to BLIND, we will check the customer's default print status and if set to BLIND, pricing will not display in the app. This control file overrides Innovo SigTouch / Deliver Hide Pricing Default and also overrides any setting on the Innovo Customer User Defined screen.

Please see our documentation on here for detailed information on hiding pricing.

*Applies to Counter and Will Call Modes, and Deliver

Best Practice: Set to Y
