Selecting a Customer

Selecting a Customer

If you have the Banner URL enabled on the settings page, the banner will be displayed. Press the Select Customer button to display a popup screen listing all customers with invoices ready for signing.  If you have the Signature Touch setting Remove "Select Customer" Button enabled, tap anywhere on the screen to see the customer listing.

Selecting the Customer

Signature Touch displays customers two ways depending on if the Show Customer List setting is disabled or enabled. Also, depending on your Signature Touch Settings, you may be asked to enter a 4-digit numeric passcode to view the customers listing. For more on this setting, click here.

Show Customer List Disabled

Signature Touch will display a window listing customers with invoices ready for signing. By default, this is an alphabetical listing of Ship-To accounts. If a customer wants to pick up orders across multiple Ship-To's and sign for all of them with a single signature, press the blue Ship-To button and the customer list will display orders by the Bill-To account. To revert back to listing customers by Ship-To accounts, press the blue Bill-To button.

Enter an order ID, PO#, or customer name in the Search box at the top of the popup customer selection screen to refine the listing.

Ticket scanning

Ticket scanning

A barcode with an invoice number can be scanned to find the matching ticket in Eclipse. To do so, press the blue bar code button at the top-right side of the popup screen. This will bring up the iOS camera in bar code scanning mode. Point the iPad at the bar code and the camera will scan and read the bar code. To cancel scanning a bar code, press Cancel at the bottom-left of the camera app.

As soon as the bar code is scanned, the barcode text will appear in the search box and any customer with an invoice matching that text is displayed.

Selecting/Deselecting Invoices and Taking Photos

After selecting a customer, the orders for that customer are displayed in the Select Orders to Sign section of the screen. If the customer is not signing for all orders, you can press the green checkmark next to those orders to deselect them. To easily select or deselect all invoices for the customer, press the "Select All" or "Deselect All" buttons at the bottom left of the order listing.

You can take a photo or multiple photos by tapping on the blue camera icon located at the top-right. Tapping the blue camera icon launches the camera. If it’s the first time Signature Touch has used the devices camera you will be prompted to allow access and should press OK.

Once you take a photo, you can press the “Use Photo” button located at the bottom left. Otherwise, press “Retake” to take the photo again.

On the next screen, you can press the “Back” button to go back to the main screen or if you want to take more photos, you can press the blue camera icon located at the top right.

Once the orders are signed for, any photos taken will be attached to all sales orders that were signed for.

Signing for Order(s)

If the "Verify COD Taken" option is enabled in the app's Settings screen and any of the orders being signed have a COD balance, a popup will ask the user if the COD amount was taken.

If the Contactless Signature Enabled option is enabled, the "Send Link to Sign" page will appear. For full details on the Contactless signing process, click here. It is still possible to have sign on the iPad when this option is enabled by pressong the "Sign on Device" text at the bottom-left of the "Send Link to Sign" window.

If no COD is due or the option to prompt on COD order is disabled and the Contactless Signature Enabled option is not enabled in the app's Settings page, the signing page will then appear.

Have the customer touch in the Signed By field and use the keyboard to enter their name. They can then use their finger or a stylus to sign in the box below. Pressing Accept will send their Signature to Eclipse and attach it to their invoice. The Signed By field may be required based on Eclipse settings.

If the customer wants to redo their signature, they can press the Clear button and sign again.

Signing for Order(s)

If the "Email Ship Ticket" option is enabled in the app's Settings screen, the user will be prompted to email the Ship Ticket after the customer signs. The app will auto-fill the email address  based on standard Eclipse hierarchy, but the app user can always overwrite any suggested address. For more details, see our Will Call Mode: Settings article.

After signing and optionally emailing the Ship Ticket, the conformation window appears.
