Read this BEFORE implementing Eclipse Chip & Pin (New)

Compatibility with the new Eclipse Chip & Pin Devices for Vantiv / Element Credit Card Processing

We are working with Eclipse to correct an issue where the new Chip & Pin or triPOS functionality is not compatible with Signature Touch. Currently if you enable a terminal to use the triPOS iSC250 device, Signature Touch will no longer be available for use with any transaction - credit card or non-credit card. Eclipse will be adding a new setting at the terminal level to allow you to specify if the iSC250 device should only be used for credit card payments.

When this new setting is enabled, you will be able to continue using Signature Touch for all non-credit card payments. Credit card payments will always use the iSC250 device.

Additional information regarding a timeline for completion will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

  • I started an Eclipse case, CS0000236529, to have Eclipse notify us in what version update they plan to implement the change.

Please notify me if you receive any information on a time frame when Eclipse will make that change.

  • Eclipse notified me yesterday that the Innovo Signature Touch Enhancement has been implemented in point release 9.0.2.13.

I have requested to be put on the upgrade schedule for this release.
