Deliver Web allows you to message drivers directly from the Innovo Customer Portal. All Administrators and Managers have access to Messaging. Drivers receive messages directly in the Deliver app.
Deliver Web
Sending a Message
You can send messages to any active driver from the Live tab. Simply select the driver name from the list of active drivers, type your message in the chat window, and hit enter or click the blue arrow to send.
You can also message a driver from the Manifest Detail page.

Receiving a Message
When you receive a new message, you will hear a sound, a growl will display in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and a new message counter indicator will display above the chat icon. The Live tab is completely real-time so any message you receive from a driver will display immediately.
Viewing Messages
You can view the list of message threads for your user by clicking on the chat bubble located in the Live Tracking view. A message thread is a group of messages sent to the same driver (think of text messaging). Message threads will be saved indefinitely but only the last 75 messages in that thread will be retained.
Message threads will be sorted by most recent message received. A message thread will be considered un-read and have a small blue dot displayed if there is at least one message in the thread that has not been read.
Deliver
Drivers can send and receive messages from the Deliver app. There is a new menu item, Messages, where drivers can access all of their message threads. Most of the time, drivers will be responding to messages received from portal users but if they need to initiate a message on an existing message thread, they can do that here as well.

Receiving a Message
Drivers can receive messages in the app when the app is in the foreground and when the app is in the background. When the app is in the foreground, new messages will display with a new message growl. A floating chat bubble will also display whenever there is at least one un-read message. A message is considered "read" when you either click on the chat bubble to display the message thread or when you access the message thread from the Messages menu item.

Tapping on the chat bubble will display the message thread for the most recent message. This is where you can respond to the message.

You can also receive a message when the app is in the background. If that is the case and you accepted push notifications when downloading the Deliver app from the app store, you will receive a push notification when receiving a new message. You can change your notification setting at any time by going to Apple Settings -> Deliver -> Notifications.

Do Not Disturb
If you receive a message while the truck is in motion, you will be automatically placed in Do Not Disturb mode. You will not be able to respond to a message until you come to a complete stop. If the app is in the foreground while in motion and you receive a new message, the message will be read aloud.

Active Links
Links sent in messages are “active” meaning you can click on them.
The following links are active:
- Phone number
- Web site
- Email Address
- Physical Address (must include the full address with city, state, and zip)
- Manifest number
Clicking on the manifest number in the message will automatically add that manifest to your route.
