Getting Started

Deliver Web allows you to view information about your manifests, deliveries, routes, and delivery times in a web view.

To authorize a user who has not been invited to any apps yet, you will send an invitation from the portal for Deliver Web. After logging into the portal do the following:

  1. Click on Manage
  2. Select Invite
  3. Search for the Employee user on the Users tab
  4. Click the Invite link next to their name
  5. Select Deliver Web in the dropdown menu
  6. Click Set Password and enter a password (recommended)
  7. Edit the body of the email as necessary
  8. Click Invite

If your Employee User has previously been invited to an app in the portal, you can edit that user to authorize them for Deliver Web. After logging into the portal do the following:

  1. Click on Manage
  2. Select Users
  3. Search for the user
  4. Click on their name
  5. Check the box next to Deliver Web

  7. Click Invite

Note: If the user you are inviting has the role of Employee, when they login to the Portal, they will only see the Deliver Tab. They will not see Manage and will not be able to invite users.

Deliver Web Roles

There are four available roles to choose from in Deliver Web.

  • Administrator
  • Manager
  • Editor
  • Employee

By default, a newly invited user will have the Employee role

To change a users role, click on the gear icon located to the right of the Deliver Web subscription.

Note: you will need to reselect the User in order to see the gear icon if you have just invited them to Deliver Web.

After selecting the gear icon, simply choose the desired role from the drop click Save. After selecting a Role, log out an back into the Portal to pick up the change. More detail on each role is below.

Administrator

A Deliver Web Administrator has access to all of the menu options in Deliver Web as well as the option to create notification templates and authorize settings at the All Branches level.

The following tabs/features are available to an Administrator:

  • Dashboard
  • Live
  • Compare
  • Summary (including Reports)
  • Notifications (Full access to create templates at the All Branches level)
  • Settings (Full access to update settings at the All Branches level)
  • Driver messaging

Note: Being an admin of Deliver Web will not make the user an overall Administrator for the entire Customer Portal. It will only make them an Administrator for the Notifications and Settings tabs in the Deliver Web section of the Customer Portal.

Manager

A Deliver Web Manager has access to all of the menu options in Deliver Web (similar to administrator) however will not have access to create notification templates and view settings at the All Branches level.

The following tabs/features are available to a Manager:

  • Dashboard
  • Live
  • Compare
  • Summary (including Reports)
  • Notifications (Access to create templates but not at the All Branches level)
  • Settings (Access to all settings but not at the All Branches level)
  • Driver messaging

Editor

A Deliver Web Editor is more restrictive than the Manager role.

The following tabs/features are available to an Editor:

  • Dashboard
  • Live (No access to In-App Messaging)
  • Compare
  • Summary (includes Reports)
  • Notifications (No access to templates)
  • Settings (No access to Preferences or Company Information)

Employee

The Employee role is the most restrictive and is the default role when authorizing a user for Deliver Web.

The following tabs/features are available to an Employee:

Driver & Truck Name Display

When viewing active trucks in the Live tab you will see a driver and truck name for each active manifest. The driver is the logged in user and the truck is either the truck the user selected when beginning their route or if you are not utilizing the Vehicles feature, the truck name is the device name. The device name comes from Apple Settings -> General -> About -> Name.

To edit a device name, change the device's name in Apple's Settings App under General ->About ->Name.

NOTE: If you change a device's name after it is already registered to a user in the Portal, please logout and log back into Deliver, or force close and reopen Deliver, for the new name to display in Deliver Web.

Portal Summary

The Subscriptions page of the Portal (Manage-->Subscriptions) will show the number of devices you have running Deliver. You can also check on how many trucks you may still have running Signature Touch by selecting Signature Touch from the App dropdown.

  • The following link is broken in the above help topic: "If they do not have an email address, you can invite them under a "fake" email address, like drivername@yourcompany.com and assign a password during the invite process. For more information on inviting users, click here."
