If you are unable to access the keyboard in Location Touch to enter product quantities after scanning barcodes with your Socket Mobile scanner, please follow these steps.
Bluetooth Keyboard Scan Setting

Check to make sure the Bluetooth Keyboard Scan setting in Location Touch is off (disabled). To do so, go into the Settings option from the Main Menu in Location Touch and make sure the Bluetooth Keyboard Scan option is off (disabled. It will be white if disabled. The developer tools for the Socket Mobile scanners (8 series and 7 series 2d scanners) have been integrated to our products so when using one of these scanners there is no Bluetooth setup required.
Quick Fix

If the Bluetooth Multi Scan settings is disabled and the keyboard is still not available after scanning a barcode, a quick double-tap of the power button on the side of the Socket Mobile scanner at any point when the keyboard is needed will display the keyboard. You can then scan and enter data with Location Touch normally, with the keyboard appearing as needed, until either the scanner or the mobile device is restarted. If either device is powered down, the double-tap of the power button will have to be performed again.
This fix is temporary as the reason the keyboard did not initially appear is because the scanner is not fully paired. This is usually due to the scanner not being in iOS mode. The best fix for the issue is to re-pair the scanner to the device.
Re-Pair the Device
The benefit to re-pairing the device is that the keyboard will always work properly in Location Touch, regardless of either device being restarted. The quick fix is useful when out in the field, but re-pairing the device is the best solution.
To repair the device, you will need to print out and follow our re-pairing instructions, found here.
