There are many ways to engage your customers to use OE Touch. One way is to offer a special discount when placing an order through the app. We suggest a 1-2% discount for either a finite period of time or always. Our customers are creative in marketing this discount by either adding the offer to their email signature or using social media, like Twitter or Facebook.
Order Level Discounts
To set up a discount that applies to the entire order, first set up the ROE Discount Applicable Order Types control file.
In order to take advantage of OE Touch discounts, you'll need to setup the control file, ROE Discount Applicable Order Types. Please see the screen shot above and set up for all of the listed remote order types exactly how they are displayed. OE Touch uses the MBL order type.
Discount Hierarchy
Once you have set up the discount order types, you can set up the discount to be applied according to this hierarchy.
Here is how the order discount is calculated:
- In both customer and employee modes, there is a control file, Innovo OE Touch Override Default Remote Discount% to 0 (this disables the remote discount for OE Touch regardless of the Remote/WOE Order Entry Discount% setting in Customer Remote Maintenance)
- In employee mode, there is a control file Innovo OE Touch Disable Remote Discount for Employees
- In both modes, Innovo User Defined setting in Customer Maintenance (alt-F1 in Eterm / ctrl-F1 in Solar), OE Touch Remote Discount %. If set, it will override the standard remote discount found on the Customer Remote Maintenance screen
- In both modes, Customer Remote Maintenance, Remote/WOE Order Entry Discount%
Item Level Discounts
In order to offer a discount for a specific set of products, you can set up a Quick Sell Matrix with the WEB price class. The OE Touch app will automatically pick up the matrix and display the special pricing for those products when the customer views them in the app.
*Applies to Customer mode only.
There are three steps to setting up Web Matrix Pricing:
1. Update the control file Valid Customer Price Classes by adding WEB to the first blank line in the Class column with the number 1 in the Level column.
2. Create a Quick Sell Matrix with the Class of WEB and add the products with the desired special pricing parameters. In the example below, customers would receive a 2% discount off of list price for the products listed.
3. Set the Innovo OE Touch Respect WEB Matrix Pricing control file to Y in order to apply the special pricing.
