The Schedule tab allows you to request delivery times for orders. Requested delivery times can be for a specific time or for a time window. Once the route is created in the Route tab, any order with an estimated time that does not meet the requested delivery time will be displayed in red. Once an order is scheduled, the order will display on the calendar in the requested time slot and with the corresponding route color.
There are three ways to schedule an order:
1. Click the + icon in the upper left hand corner
2. Double click on a specific date/time in the calendar
3. Scheduling an Order from Eclipse (see below)

When you click the + icon, the date will default to the route date, which is your next business day. When you click on a specific date/time in the calendar, the date/time will default to where in the calendar you clicked. You have the option in Settings to default the requested time to be a specific time or a time window. For more information, click here. And if you default to time window, you also have the option to set the default window in hours/minutes. For more information, click here.
For example, if your default requested time is window and your default time window is 1 hour, if you enter 7am as the start time, the end time will default to 8am. At any time, these values can be changed.
Note: if you don't enter a start time or a specific time, the start time will default to the start time of the route.
Now, enter the order number in the search box and click the search icon.
Note: The order number can be entered with the generation (i.e., .001) or without. If an order number is entered without a generation, the first generation is assumed.
If the order falls within a defined territory, the route color will automatically display and any other order already scheduled for the route for that day will also be displayed. If this is the first order scheduled for that route for that date, it will be the only order displayed.
Note: If an order does not fall within a defined territory, it will be displayed in gray.
When you are ready, press the Save button to schedule the order. The order will now appear on the calendar.
For Eclipse Users Only
The requested time and/or window will be stored in the LEDGER.LOG file in Eclipse.
If the order is currently open to a user in Eclipse , an error message will be displayed that the order is currently being edited. Once the order is no longer being edited, you can successfully click on the Save button.
Clicking on that order in the calendar will display detailed information about the order. The user that scheduled the order, the date, and time it was originally added to the calendar will also be displayed. Users with role of employee cannot make changes to an order scheduled by another user. Managers and Administrators can override those changes.
In this example, you will notice the estimated delivery time displays in red as it does not meet the requested window time. Any order to be delivered outside of a time window will be displayed in red. If the order is scheduled for a specific time, any order with an estimated delivery time later than the specific time will display in red.
Note: If a requested delivery time is added to an order in Eclipse, that order will NOT display in the calendar by default. The order would also have to be scheduled in Route. That requested time will however display in the Route tab and will follow the logic of displaying in red if outside the requested time.
Scheduling an Order from Eclipse
Once a user defined screen is enable in Eclipse, selecting that option in Solar or using the specific F-Key in Eterm will launch the Schedule page in Route and open to the specific order for easy scheduling.
The order number will automatically be searched for and you will be taken to the screen shown below where you can follow the steps listed above to make adjustments and add the order to calendar.
More information on setting up the user defined screen for scheduling from Eclipse can be found here.

Regardless of how the setting "Enable Stop Consolidation/Group" is configured, orders will not be combined on the calendar as they are for same ship-to. They will only be consolidated once added to a route.
When scheduling an order, you have the ability to add custom notes to the calendar entry.
Note: The notes will only appear on the Schedule & Route tab and will not be added to the order.
Once a note is entered and you select save, a note icon will appear on the calendar for that order. You can hover over the icon to view the notes or double click on the order to edit the notes.
The icon will also appear on the stop detail window on the Route tab. For more information on the stop detail window, click here.
The calendar will automatically refresh every 2 minuets. Any orders added or removed since the last interval will automatically be added or removed from the calendar. This feature is useful if the Schedule tab is displayed on a large monitor for everyone to view. Pressing the refresh icon will also pull in any changes made but does not reset the interval.

Comments
There are 3 view elements available for the Status tab in Sales Order Entry in Eclipse:
Delivery Time
Earliest Time
Latest Time
I know Delivery Time comes from Customer Maintenance, and that DELIVER will write back with the actual delivery time.
Does ROUTE use just Delivery Time, or does it also respect Earliest and Latest?
