Location Touch Attach Images When No Image Found

App Functionality

You may now give specific employee users the ability to take a picture of an item in the app when no image exists.

From any screen in the app where you see the Image Not Available image, you can tap on that image which will take you to a screen with the message "No Product Image".

Note: From the Cycle Count page, you must first scan the product and then tap on the image.

Note: Eclipse add-on product, Document Imaging, is required to enable this feature

Authorized users will see the camera icon in the bottom right of the screen. Pressing this will engage the device’s camera and allow you to take a picture.

If this is the first time you access the camera feature from Location Touch, you will be prompted to allow Location Touch access to the camera.

Pressing allow will open the camera and allow you to take a picture. After the picture is taken, you will have the ability to retake the photo or use the photo.

Once you select the Use Photo button,  the image will be saved to the imaging server and linked to this product for future display in the app.

When the image is added to the product in Eclipse, the message "Product image attached from Location Touch" will be added to the change log indicating who added the image.

You can create a report that looks for the message "Product image attached from Location Touch" in the product change log file and schedule it to run on a regular basis to see who is adding images, and what images are being added.

Associated Control Files

Innovo Images Document Profile

You must enter the document imaging profile in the prompt, Innovo Product Images, where you will store the images on your imaging server. If this is not defined, the user will receive an error in the app when trying to save the image.

The Profile ID entered here must match the Profile ID for the Storage ID entered in the "Default Document Storage Location for WOE" control file.

This may or may not be the same, to find out for sure you can check Document Profile Maintenance F2>System Files>Document Imaging>Document Profile Maintenance.

Note: The Network path must be an externally accessible shared folder.

WOE IP Address (If Different from URL Home Address)

This control file must have the base URL required to reach your image share publicly. Enter the full http:// address of your web site for redirect programs to use.

Alternatively, you set this in Document Storage Location Maintenance, find the storage ID you are using for your location touch images and use the Path hotkey to enter the base URL required to reach your image share publicly

Best Practice: Use either the control file or Storage Profile path setting and make confirm the URL can reach your product images via a web browser connection outside of your LAN.
