Contactless Signing allows your customers to sign for orders on their own device - at the counter, will-call area, and on the delivery trucks. This is supported in both Signature Touch and Deliver.
Signature Touch Counter Mode
In Signature Touch Counter Mode, you will send a link to your customers either through email or SMS (if enabled for your company), or you can display a QR code on the iPad itself where the customer can take a photo and navigate to the link themselves.
Close Counter
Step 2
To enable the QR code feature, enable the Contactless Signature Enabled setting on the Signature Touch settings page.
Note: This step is only necessary to enable the QR code feature. If you plan to only send a link through email or SMS, you do not need to enable this setting.

Step 3
Enabling the control file in Step 1 adds a new menu option to the File menu -> Send Link to Sign. Once you load an invoice ready for signing, click on the Send Link to Sign menu option and that will launch the Signature Request page.
Note: Contactless Signing does not currently work properly if you launch the Send Link to Sign page from a custom toolbar within the Close Counter screen. You must use the Send Link to Sign menu option off of the File menu. If you do create a custom toolbar, you will notice after the customer signs the Complete Order button does not activate. We are currently working with Epicor on a potential fix. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Step 4
Once the customer signs for the order on their own device, the Close Counter window will display the signature as usual and the order can be completed. If you need the customer to sign again, click the Clear and Redo Signature button and the Send Link to Sign menu option.
Sales Order Entry
Step 1
Download the latest Signature Touch Client on each terminal to version 4 or greater. This can be installed over any previous installations.

Step 2
To enable the QR code feature, enable the Contactless Signature Enabled setting on the Signature Touch settings page.
Note: This step is only necessary to enable the QR code feature. If you plan to only send a link through email or SMS, you do not need to enable this setting.

Step 3
Load an order ready for signing and invoke the ctrl-G (or alt-G) from the Totals screen. The new application you downloaded in step 1 will be displayed with a button, Send Link to Sign. Once you enter the Signed By (if required) and click on Begin Capture, the Send Link to Sign button will be accessible. Selecting this option will display the Signature Request page.
Step 4
Once the customer signs for the order on their own device, the signature window will display the signature as usual and the signature can be accepted. If you need the customer to sign again, click the Clear and Redo button and the Send Link to Sign button.
Signature Request Page
Using the Send Link to Sign option from either Close Counter or Sales Order Entry will launch a Signature Request page where you can specify if you want to email a link, send a link via SMS, or display a QR code on the iPad. If you are sending a link, you must enter the email or phone number for the customer and click on the Send button. If you want to display a QR code on the iPad, select the QR code option and then click on the Send button. Alternatively, you can select a contact defined for that customer in Eclipse. See below for more information on the Select Contact feature.
Note: The SMS option will only appear if you have Twilio enabled in the Innovo Customer Portal. For more information, click here.

Select Contact
Any contact defined in Eclipse for either the bill-to or ship-to customers will appear in the Contact dopdown. When you select a contact, both their email address and phone number (if available) will appear in the "To" text fields. The first email address listed for the contact will display. And for the phone number, we will look for any number defined with type of "CELL" or "MOBIL" and if those do not exist, the first phone number listed on the contact record will be used.
Note: The method of communication will be determined by the checkmark selected - Email, SMS, or QR Code - when you click on the Send button.

Send Link
If you send a link via email or SMS, the customer will receive an email or text like the following:

QR Code
If QR Code is selected, the code is displayed on the iPad. The customer will use the camera on the device to scan the code asking them to open the webpage on their device for signing.
Sign on Customer Device
Once the customer opens the webpage from the QR code or clicks on the link in the email or text message, they will be able to sign for the order(s) on their device. In addition, they will be able to see order details and send themselves a copy of the ship ticket after signing.
Note: If you emailed the customer the link, that email address will default to the Email Order field on the confirmation page. Otherwise, the Email Order field will be blank.
Signature Touch Will Call Mode
To enable Contactless Signing in Will Call Mode, you must enable the Contactless Signature Enabled setting on Signature Touch settings page.

Once the order(s) is ready for signing, tap on the Sign Order(s) button and the "Send Link to Sign" screen appears. Enter the email address or phone number and tap the Send button. If needed, you can still sign on the iPad by using the Sign on Device button, located in the bottom right. Alternatively, you can select a contact defined for that customer in Eclipse using the Select Contact button. When selected, the Select Contact screen will display with the phone number and email address defined for that contact. For more information on how we select the email and phone numbers used, see the Select Contact section above.
Note: The SMS option will only appear if you have Twilio enabled in the Innovo Customer Portal. For more information, click here.

The customer will receive the link either through email or SMS and will follow the steps as referenced above in the Sign on Customer Device section.
While the customer signs for the order on their device, the iPad will be waiting for the signature and will look like the following:

Once the customer signs, the signature will display as usual. Enter the Signed By and Accept or use the Resend button to request a new signature from the customer.
Note: The Resend button will resend the link using the same method and to the same address as was sent originally. If you need to send a different way, tap the Cancel button and restart the process.

Deliver
Deliver works the same way as described above in Signature Touch Will Call Mode however there is no additional setting. The Send Link button will always appear in the Deliver app. Once the customer signs on their device, the signature will display as usual. Enter the Signed By and press Accept or tap the Send Link button again to request a new signature from the customer.
