Signature Touch Modes Overview

Counter Mode

  • Collect signatures on an iPad connected to a single terminal at the counter
  • The steps below are for configuring Eclipse terminals for Counter Mode

Will-Call Mode

  • Collect signatures on an iPad in your will-call area, drive through window, parking lot... anywhere with connectivity
  • Does not require a terminal
1. Remove ePad Software
  • Close any Eterm or Solar sessions completely before doing the uninstall
  • Access Add/Remove programs and uninstall any ePad software
2. Configure Eclipse

How will you sign for orders?

Solar Close Counter

 

Enter Signature Capture URL in Terminal Setup

  1. Go to Terminal Setup (System -> System Files -> Terminal Setup)
  2. Right-click on the Terminal ID and select Signature Capture URL
  3. Enter http://<internal IP address of your web server>:6080/innovo/api/sigcap/solarcc/capture
  4. Click "OK" as you back out of the menus (never click "Cancel" during this process or you may lose the URL setting)
  5. Re-log Solar to pick up changes

Setup ePad Settings Maintenance

You will find the ePad Settings Maintenance screen in Eterm by pressing F2>F>S. The settings on this screen will apply to Solar Close Counter.

Install and configure the SigTouch Client

  1. Download the Signature Touch client here: http://goinnovo.com/resources/signaturetouch/SigTouchClientSetup.exe
  2. Open the Configure SigTouch Client application from your Start menu
  3. Set Connection Type to "Secured (HTTPS)"
  4. Set Server Name / IP to the external IP address or DNS name of your web server
  5. Set Server Port to 6443 (unless otherwise directed)
  6. Set Get Term ID From to either Solar Eclipse or Eterm
Solar Only

 

Configure Eclipse Solar terminal

  1. From the main Solar window, go to Settings (gear icon, upper right) -> Solar Preferences
  2. Under the Advanced tab, set the Signature Capture Program Path for the SigTouchClient.exe client
    • 64-bit systems use:  C:\Program Files (x86)\SigTouch Client\SigTouchClient.exe
    • 32-bit systems use:  C:\Program Files\SigTouch Client\SigTouchClient.exe
  3. Click OK to save, then re-log Solar to pick up changes
Eterm Only

 

Configure Eclipse Eterm terminal

  1. From the Eterm terminal menu, go to Configure -> Helper Applications
  2. Configure the SigCapture helper application per the image below
  3. Enter SigCapture in the Name field
  4. Enter the correct Command:
    • 64-bit systems use:  C:\Program Files (x86)\SigTouch Client\SigTouchClient.exe
    • 32-bit systems use:  C:\Program Files\SigTouch Client\SigTouchClient.exe
  5. Click Add and then Done to save, then close the Eterm window and re-log to pick up changes
