The Chart Builder allows you to create custom charts to display on the Dashboard and use on the G/L Comparison screen.
Press Add to create a new chart (more details below). Press Edit to make changes, reorder, or delete any existing charts. Press Restore Default Charts at the far-right corner to reset all charts to the default settings. Press the three stacked horizontal bars icon at the top left to return to the menu.
Note: All customizations done through chart setup will be stored in Eclipse and stays with the user login. If you use a new device, these changes will carry over to that device. If a new user accesses this device they will see the default charts, unless they also have stored chart customizations in Eclipse from another device.
Add a New Chart
A new chart can be added by pressing the Add button at the top of the chart list. This will create a new chart for you to customize.
Note: The Dashboard displays up to four charts. Any added charts will be added to a second Dashboard page. Swipe from right to left across the Dashboard page to move to the second screen.
Chart Type
The first step in customizing the chart is to select the chart type. There are three possible chart types: G/L Category, G/L Account, and Sales Source.
Once you select the chart type, a default name will be automatically added to the Chart Name field. To edit this name, press the name field and type a new name for your chart.
The chart type you selected will determine the next field(s) available. The options are outlined below.
G/L Category Chart Type
The G/L Category chart type has one option. This option allows you to select the specific G/L category you want this chart to display. The choices are Sales, COGS, Purchases, GP $, and GP %
G/L Account Chart Type
The G/L Account chart type has one option. This option allows you to select the specific G/L account you want this chart to display. Press the field to display theG/L accounts available in your system. You can select from any G/L Account that is setup in your Eclipse G/L Account Maintenance.
Sales Source Chart Type
The Sales Source chart type gives you 3 additional options:
G/L Category - Select the specific G/L category you want this chart to display. Press the field to display the choices available in your system.
Sales Source - You can limit your chart to see data only from a specified sales source. Press the field to display the choices available in your system.
Product Type - You can limit your chart to only see data from a specified Product Type. Press the field to display the choices available in your system.
Branches
All chart types have a setting for your chart can either be controlled by the chart or by the page where the chart is being viewed.
Use Selected - The Dashboard and G/L Comparison screens each offer a Branch/Territory selection. Selecting the User Selected option in the Chart Builder means you will use the page specific Branch/Territory selection when viewing charts.
Specify a Branch - Selecting the Specify a Branch option will display a dropdown where you can select the branch or territory used for the chart, regardless of the Dashboard or G/L Comparison screen's Branch/Territory setting. You can select multiple branches and/or territories by simply tapping on them to select/deselect them. Selected branches and territories will have a black background in the listing.
Negate Amounts
All chart types also have a Negate Amounts option that gives you the ability to show all values as negatives for this chart. This may be useful for charts that reflect costs to your company. Press the button and it will toggle to blue, indicating it is enabled.
Edit / Reorder / Remove / Delete Existing Charts
To edit a chart - Press the Edit button at the top left of the Chart Builder screen. Then press to highlight the chart you wish to edit. Make any changes needed on the right-hand side, then press the Done button at the top left.
To change the order of the charts - Press the Edit button at the top left of the Chart Builder screen. Press and hold the three horizontal bar icon to the left of the chart you want to move and drag it up or down into a new position. When you are finished, press the Done button at the top left.
To Remove a chart from the Dashboard - Press to select the chart in the listing and them press the "Remove Chart From Dashboard" on at the right side of the Chart Builder screen. You will still be able to view these charts by going to them directly from the My Charts listing in the InfoTouch Main Menu.
To delete a chart - Press the Edit button at the top left of the Chart Builder screen. Then press the red circular icon to the left of the chart you want to remove. A red DELETE button will appear at the right. Press it to remove the chart.
Chart Refresh
If you use InfoTouch across multiple devices, it is easy to keep them in sync. Just drag a finger to pull down on the Charts screen to sync any chart or dashboard changes made from another device.
